The Colberts

 Superintendent H. Wayne, Sr. and Missionary Vickie E. Colbert,  were married 41 years ago on January 1, 1983, in Palatka, FL.

They have 7 wonderful children, 

Kevin D'mon (Tina), Sharita Le'Nae (David), Shalita Qui'Shae (Tim), and H. Wayne Colbert, Jr..

They have Twelve precious granddaughters, 

Kiana, Tiera, Alexandra, Kayla-Jaydn, Sarah Elizabeth, Daria Ly'aine, Saria Le'shae, Diavian Le'Won,  Savannah Le'Nae, Timya Elaine & Tamia T'Shae, and Harlee-Queen Dior.

Pastor and Lady Colbert raised one Godson; Joshua Williams (Family, Wife Briana, Jayden, Kayden, Eden and Joshua, Jr., and Ezra)

Superintendent Colbert received his call into the Gospel Ministry in March of 1978, he acknowledged his call to Elder Elbert L Sheppard in September of 1978 while a student at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL.  Since that time the Lord has continually blessed him.

        He was licensed by the future Bishop Elbert L. Sheppard on March 15th 1979.

        He was Ordained an Elder in March of 1983 by Bishop T. H. Thompson.  

        He was appointed Pastor of Faith Temple COGIC in Palatka, FL in Jan. 1990, by Bishop Melton Sconiers.

In 1995 He closed the Faith Temple Ministry and at the leading of the Lord, wrote new by-laws, articles of incorporation and appointed all new officers and the Victorious Faith COGIC ministry was born.

After obeying the voice of the Lord to start this new work, Pastor Colbert moved the church to a new location, completing God's command, "Change Your Vocation and Location".  Our Ministry has not been the same since.

After obeying God's voice the Lord began to blessed our pastor and wife tremendously:

  In 1996 he was appointed the Secretary of the Ordination Board for Western Florida.

  In 1996 Lady Colbert was appointed a Big Sister Sunshine for Western Florida. 

  In Dec. 2000, he was appointed Superintendent of the Newly formed Palatka District. 

  In 2001 he was appointed to the office of Jurisdictional Secretary.  

  In 2002 he was appointed Administrative Assistant to Bishop Harvey D. Bryan, Sr.

  In 2012 he was appointed the chairman of th Ordination Board for Western Florida.

  In 2018 he was appointed Administrative Assistant to Bishop Willie J. Matheney.

  In 2018 Lady Colbert was appointed Marshall of the Women's Department of Western Florida

In 2002 He began serving in the General Secretary staff of the International COGIC. with Then General Secretary Eld. A.Z. Hall, and he currently serves with General Secretary Bishop Joel, H. Lyles, Jr. a positon he has held for the past 22 years.

In January of 2010 Supt. Colbert assumed the pastorate of St. Paul COGIC in Seville, FL where his father Supt. Thomas Colbert was assigned to his first pastorate 30 years before.  He renamed the church to New St. Paul COGIC, and has since passed the torch to his son in the ministry, Pastor Jarvis F Wright.

Superintendent Colbert was blessed in June of 2004 to receive his "Masters in Theology", from North Carolina College of Theology.

Reverend Dr. Colbert was conferred upon with his "Doctorate in Theology" on June 7, 2007 from North Carolina College of Theology.
